summer trip to the Bristol Food & Wine Fair on Sunday 12

and a visit from Isombard Kingdom Brunel.

On 4th July we joined with Timsbury Horticultural Society for a trip to
Wisley Gardens.

- The
12th June saw us at the Farmborough Inn for the annual meal.
As you can see we all enjoyed the eating and drinking.

Six of our members had a great and successful time at the Wales & West Federation
of Wine & Beermakers weekend Friday 22nd May to Monday 25th May 2009 held at Sand Bay.
This was a very special occasion as it was the 45th anniversary of such a weekend.
- We have
a winner this year, Paul's Novices, social red got a 1st out
of 11 entries and won the Ann Hickey Cup
- whilst
his table white dry was brought forward with a collar. Congratulations
Paul. The club had a 6th in the table white sweet out
- of 62
entries, and Bob had a 4th out of 33 with his Table red, dry
wine, which was in the Closed wine Classes that had a
- great
many entries. Wendy had a fifth place with her biscuits out of
29 entries. Well done to those competitiors and to those
- who
didn't win but supported Timsbury.
